Flames of War: Tank Aces

September 1, 2012 @ 1:00 pm - October 1, 2012 @ 7:00 am

Free

Date: 1 September, 1944

Location: The fields outside of Lorraine, France

Mission: Survival against all odds

Lost in the fog. Separated from the rest of your allies. Enemies behind every corner. You must lead your ragtag band of tanks through the battlefields of Eastern France, gathering other lost members of your company, destroying any enemies you come across and reuniting with the rest of your army.

Tank Aces is a slow growth map campaign for Flames of War in which players will attempt to rewrite the history of World War II. Fought over the course of 3 campaign turns, each lasting a month, players will start with a small band of armored fighting vehicles and expand it over the course of the league.
Players start with a 500 point armored force with one of their fighting vehicles representing themselves as an Ace Tank Commander. As you fight across the fields of France, your Ace will gain experience and learn new abilities, becoming a hero of the war.

The requirements for the league are:
• 500 points
• Units are chosen from Tank Companies or Mechanized Companies consisting of armored tank destroyers
• HQ, Combat, or Weapon platoons only. NO warrior teams (that’s what your Tank Ace is)
• Compulsory platoons are not required.
• You may change the makeup of your company in between games, but you must keep the same company you started the campaign with
During the first turn of the campaign you start with only 500 points and my only field armored units, but this will expand to 700 points on turn 2, and 900 points on turn 3. You may add support platoons on turns 2 and 3, and may add non-armored platoons on turn 3.

Contact RJ for more information or help in how to assemble a force.
